Wolf Pups

The wolf pups are the heart of Family Time: a family of wolf children that starts at a manageable size and grows every night, calling the father Papa while they help carry, build, farm and hunt. They are the workforce, the difficulty curve and the reason most players fall for the game.

Small black-haired wolf girls who follow the father around, ask to be carried and pitch in with chores. The game asks how many you can support: ten, a hundred, a thousand or ten thousand.

How Fast the Family Grows

The number of children rises every night, and the growth speeds up as the family gets bigger. Players have recorded runs that reached a hundred children and others that went into the high hundreds within a single session.

That curve is why delegation is the game's real answer. Your hands do not scale, but a crowd of children working together does. The commanding pups guide covers how to organise them.

Naming, Headpats and Uppies

The Episode 3 update added the ability to name your pups and to touch their fluffy ears, and short clips of pup headpats spread quickly across video platforms. Naming a few favourites makes them easy to recognise inside a crowd of near-identical children.

Carrying pups, which players call uppies, has been part of development since the early devlogs. The children ask to be picked up, and a popular fan mod even makes them notice when you carry a sibling and come asking for a turn.

Do not pick up a pup that is helping carry a heavy object. The rest of the group can get dragged along with you instead of finishing the delivery.

What They Need From You

Each child needs a cot, food and water. Meat from hunted chickens and pigs is eaten automatically, water comes from a lake or a well, and a cot costs one plank. The feeding guide and the building page cover both sides.

Players often ask why the children are all daughters, whether they grow up, and whether a pup can be lost. Those questions have no answer from the developer yet, so the safest approach is to treat every child as part of the count the Wolf Mama checks each night.
